Did you know? While it cooks like a whole grain, quinoa is actually a seed! Nonetheless, quinoa is healthy, high-fibre food and a complete protein source. This means that it provides us with all of the essential amino acids (the ones the body can’t make on its own).

I love using quinoa in a variety of recipes. Like salads (you have to try this Nourishing Fall Quinoa Salad with Kale & Butternut Squash), or anywhere that you would use rice – like my Fresh & Healthy Falafel Bowls or Spicy Buffalo Cauliflower Bowls. You can even use puffed quinoa in desserts, like cookies!
