One thing about me is that I love a good dip. Shareable dips are one of my family’s favourite appetizers to order when we go out to eat.
And as much as I love eating at restaurants, I also love creating delicious appetizer recipes with a nutritious twist. Like my Creamy High Protein French Onion Dip, or my Healthy 7-Layer Bean Dip.
Thanks to the use of Greek yogurt, this Healthy Spinach Artichoke Dip is another great example of a super tasty appetizer that also offers nutrition benefits. Let’s dig in!

Nutrition Benefits of This Recipe:
As a Registered Dietitian, I like to consider the nutrition benefits that our food can offer us. Most spinach and artichoke dip recipes call for ingredients like sour cream or mayonnaise. While totally okay to enjoy, these ingredients tend to be lower in protein and higher in saturated fat.
Using Greek yogurt in the spinach dip adds protein, which will help to make you feel more full and satisfied. It also adds important nutrients like calcium, riboflavin, and vitamin B12.
I don’t recommend swapping regular yogurt for the Greek yogurt in this recipe, because Greek yogurt adds a creamier consistency. There are also some nutritional differences between Greek yogurt and regular yogurt.
Lastly, when you enjoy this spinach artichoke dip recipe, you’re also eating your vegetables! This recipe is loaded with 3 cups of spinach and an entire can of artichoke hearts, and both are rich in vitamin C and sources of iron.
