About this Recipe:

As a Registered Dietitian, I’m a big fan of using Greek yogurt in my recipes. Especially Greek yogurt desserts. It adds a creamy richness, pairs well with sweet flavours, and it’s nutritious!

I’ve got a whole roster of Greek yogurt-based desserts, including these Chocolate Blueberry Greek Yogurt Clusters and my Healthier No-Bake Cheesecake in a Jar!

And, one of my most popular dessert recipes is my Peanut Butter Chocolate Greek Yogurt Bark! It’s been on my site for a couple of years now, so I figured it was time to get creative and share a new one.

Frozen yogurt bark is really easy to make. You basically just spread the yogurt onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, add toppings, and freeze! This recipe uses just 5 ingredients and requires only 15 minutes of prep time.

Ingredients for Chocolate-Covered Strawberry Frozen Yogurt Bark:

To make this recipe, all you need is:

  • Plain Greek yogurt (feel free to use vanilla and omit the maple syrup and vanilla extract)
  • Pure maple syrup
  • Vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Chocolate chips (I use semi-sweet, but you could use milk or dark chocolate instead)
  • Coconut oil (this is optional, but I find it helps to melt the chocolate)

Tip: You can easily make this recipe vegan by using a plant-based Greek yogurt.

What Makes This Greek Yogurt Bark Healthy?

It’s high in protein. What’s great about using Greek yogurt vs. regular yogurt is that it’s higher in protein. Protein takes longer to digest compared to carbohydrates and fat, so incorporating protein-rich foods into meals and snacks helps to keep us feeling full for longer.

In addition to fullness, protein also supports a variety of important bodily functions, including muscle growth and recovery.

It offers key micronutrients. In addition to being rich in protein, it’s also chalk-full of key micronutrients like calcium, magnesium, selenium, phosphorus, and zinc.

Strawberries are high in fibre, which supports fullness, digestion, and gut health in addition to being a fantastic source of micronutrients like vitamin C.

How to Make Greek Yogurt Bark:

As I mentioned, the process of making yogurt bark is quick and easy! Here’s how to make this recipe:

Storing Yogurt Bark:

Once the bark is cut or broken into pieces, you can store it in the freezer in a large freezer bag or freezer-safe container. It will keep in the freezer up to 2 months.
