Hannah Magee RD Best of 2018

Happy Holidays friends! We’re just a few short days away from Christmas and then the New Year will be here before we know it. Right around this time I’m always thinking back on the past year, reflecting on what went well, what I learned, and what I want to work on in the upcoming year. 2018 was the year that I kick-started my nutrition consulting side-hustle, launched this site + my blog, and have really started to learn where my interests lie in the world of nutrition & dietetics.

I’m so excited about this blog post today because it’s a little bit like travelling back in time. Today I’m sharing with you my top blog posts of 2018. I’ve reviewed all of my blog analytics from 2018 and compiled a list of my most-read blog posts for the year. I took each category of my blog – Recipes, Nutrition, Wellness, and “RD” and figured out the top-three posts under each category. It was honestly so fun to look back at everything I wrote over the last year (well – the last 9 months – the site launched in April 2018!). It was especially neat to see what you, my readers, took the most interest in over the last year and it’s giving me a host of inspiration for 2019. I’m really looking forward to basing my content and posts for 2019 on the things you love to see here most. So, without further a dieu, here are the best blog posts of Hannah Magee RD for 2018!

Best Recipe Posts:

I could tell this banana bread recipe was going to be a favourite the day that I posted it! It’s definitely one of my favourites, too. It’s super simple to make and definitely thick and fluffy as a banana loaf should be. Bonus that it’s vegan so even more of you can enjoy it! I also knew felt like the muffins would be a fave just by the amount of messages and questions I got about them the first time I posted a photo of them on Instagram. I kinda forgot about that cookie recipe, but now that I see it was a favourite I’m totally planning on whipping up a batch in the New Year!

Best Nutrition Posts:

I love that you guys loved the “5 Easy Breakfast Ideas” post. I’m definitely planning to create more posts like (e.g. 3 Plant-Based Lunch Ideas) this in 2019, so keep your eyes peeled! I think the Milk & Alternatives post was probably popular because more and more non-dairy milk beverages are being added to the market each year and you guys were interested to see how they break down nutritionally. It’s also fun to write about foods that have certain benefits like immune-boosting properties, so I’m happy to create more like that this coming year, too!

Best Wellness Posts:

The wellness posts are always so fun for me to write. I really am passionate about helping others (and myself) feel well, and a lot of times it comes down to more than just food. So it’s nice to take a more holistic approach to health and wellness with these ones. I know I have a lot of university-age and young professional readers, so I’m glad I was able to reach so many of you with my tips! The Healthy Holiday post was one that I got creative with, kind of poured my heart into a little, and intentionally made it more of a non-traditional holiday wellness guide. Glad you guys liked it!

Best “RD” Posts:

I’m not surprised the “Dietitian Day in The Life” post was the top in this category. Let’s be honest, we’re all a little creepy and like to see what other people get up to in their days, lol! Trust me, I love reading other peoples “What I Ate Wednesdays” or “Day in The Life” posts. I also feel like with these “RD” posts I’m able to reach a lot of RD2Be’s and nutrition students and I love connecting with that demographic because I’ve been there too. If you are an RD2Be and there’s something you want to see covered, definitely reach out because I know I’d love to write it.

Now, because I plan on taking the week between Christmas and New Years off from blogging (hello, friends and family time!) that means I’ll see you all in 2019! Thank you so much for following along in 2018 and I really can’t wait to serve you up some more deliciously simple recipes, nutrition tips, and wellness guides in the year to come.

I really would love to know if there’s anything you want to see in 2019, so leave a comment/send a message and let me know! Happy Holidays everyone!
