Why Eat More Fish?

As a Registered Dietitian, helping people find delicious ways to incorporate nutritious foods is one area of my expertise.

Fish is definitely a nutritious food that many of us could eat more of. Aiming for 2 servings of fish per week has been recommended by organizations like Health Canada and the American Heart Association, as research has found that doing so is associated with a lower risk of things like heart attack and stroke for people with existing heart disease.

Additionally, fish like haddock is a great source of lean protein. This means that it is lower in calories but still high in protein – making fish and shellfish recipes a great choice to add to your weekly dinner rotation.
