Avocado Green Goddess Dressing (Vegetarian + Gluten-Free)
A healthy, creamy and delicious Avocado Green Goddess Dressing to elevate all of your veggies! Serve as a vibrant salad dressing or as a dip for vegetables, crackers and more. This recipe is naturally vegetarian and gluten-free, and can easily be made vegan.

What is Green Goddess Dressing?
Green Goddess Dressing is a vibrant, flavourful and nutritious salad dressing. It gets it’s green colour because its usually full of fresh herbs like cilantro, parsley, or basil. It also usually includes vegetables from the allium family for flavour, like green onions and fresh garlic.
Some recipes use yogurt or mayonnaise to lend a nice, creamy texture to the dressing. In this recipe, I chose to use avocado instead. I added avocado to this dressing not only for the creaminess that it lends, but also for the heart-healthy fat and fibre content. This also makes this salad dressing recipe totally dairy-free and egg-free.
You can use this Avocado Green Goddess Dressing on top of your salads, as a dip for fresh vegetables and crackers or other finger foods, and you can also use it as a sauce or spread on things like sandwiches and wraps. We love versatility over here.

To make the recipe vegan: You can swap the honey in this recipe for a vegan-friendly sweetener like agave syrup or maple syrup.
Instead of cilantro/parsley: If you only have one or the other, you can use 1 cup of either cilantro/parsley instead of 1/2 cup of each. Alternatively, you can use 1/2 cup basil in place of either the cilantro or parsley if you prefer.
If you prefer no added sugar: You can omit the honey/liquid sweetener all together.
