Warm oatmeal with cinnamon apples is deliciously cozy and super healthy. I'ts an easy, vegan and gluten-free breakfast packed with fall flavour!
In a small saucepan, whisk together oats, chia seeds, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and 1/2 tsp brown sugar. Pour in the milk and bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer until oats have soaked up most of the milk. When finished, keep covered and warm on low heat.
Dice the apple and heat your coconut oil on a small frying pan. Once the oil is heated, add the apples to sauté. They should be sizzling on the pan. Sprinkle apples with 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp brown sugar and continue to sauté until they are soft and easily pierced with a fork.
Place oats in a bowl and top with your warm apples and 1 tbsp peanut butter (optional). Enjoy!
